Before and after Red Rose among Rhododendrons
Multiple areas where addressed in this photograph, such as the foliage in the background, model’s dress and skin, and overall color.
The plants and branches looked too distracting. Therefore, they were removed in order to clean up the photograph and to help the viewer focus on the beauty of the model and rhododendrons. The model’s dress was elongated on the right side to make the overall look more elegant. Additionally, the flow of the curves of the dress was adjusted. Photographing in the sun is always tricky, as the model might squint and not even notice it. This was the case, so the face was retouched in order to add a more relaxed expression to it. Overall color correction was performed and the green reflection was removed from the skin to make the colors look natural. Finally, the brightness and contrast were adjusted with addition of minor vignetting.
